Things you hear on daily scrum , on the last day of scrum - “coding is done ! Just testing is left “ And there is a long queue in “ready for test “ column - waiting for the lone “QA” to do her / his magic. No one else on the team can do it ! The hero must save the day … Sprint review … a stakeholder actually starts crying as her family most definitely won’t have a great Christmas… Sound familiar? True story !! I was a new SM , new to the team , I could not believe how things could go this bad. I do understand now - there were various reasons - the one that stands out is - flaccid scrum - scrum without the agile engineering practices of - swarming , mobbing , pairing , test first and test driven development…. and technical excellence. #lean #agile #scrum
